The Future of Blockchain Games: Insights from Zentry Founder Jarindr

Jarindr, the founder of Zentry (formerly GuildFi), recently gave an in-depth interview sharing his views on the blockchain gaming industry and the development vision of Zentry.

Jarindr has an engineering background and has worked in the cryptocurrency industry for about 10 years, having participated in the development of Layer 2 technologies such as the Plasma protocol. More than two years ago, he began to venture into the web3 gaming field, which he is truly passionate about, founding GuildFi and successfully raising $140 million.

When discussing the value of blockchain games, Jarindr believes that the biggest transformation lies in enhancing transparency, which will greatly improve the user experience. He emphasizes that the key to attracting web2 users is to focus on the game itself, rather than empty talk about blockchain technology.

The product design philosophy of Zentry is to achieve a web 2.5 level, attracting traditional game users while retaining web 3 users. For example, the Radiant product is mainly aimed at web 2 users, providing a seamless experience; while Nexus focuses on the web 3 user group.

Jarindr admitted that when users make earning rewards the primary goal of playing games, it changes many game design concepts. Nevertheless, he still believes that the reward mechanism is an important pillar of game products, and Zentry will innovate in this area.

Zentry's vision is to create a "Game of Games" on top of numerous games, building a layer of Play Economy. In this ecosystem, the concept of gaming will be expanded, and even everyday activities like working out or buying coffee can be gamified. Unlike traditional Play2Earn models, Zentry focuses more on immersive experiences and the IP itself, rather than just rewards.

The Zentry plan aims to enhance existing games by building an additional layer of experience. For example, providing extra rewards or resources for users playing Dota, which can be used in other games or to create new items.

Regarding the technical architecture, Zentry is currently deployed on Ethereum, but may expand to a multi-chain environment in the future. Jarindr emphasizes that the so-called "full chain" is very important for gaming projects, especially in terms of asset transfer and cross-chain operations.

Zentry's product line includes Radiant (a platform for gaming), Nexus (a web3 social portal), Zigma (for NFT collectors), and Azul (AI-related products). These products are interconnected and together form Zentry's Play Economy ecosystem.

Finally, Jarindr mentioned that the ZENT token will play an important role in the Zentry ecosystem. The team plans to return a portion of the profits to token holders in various ways, and the reward method will be linked to users' contribution levels and participation. ZENT will also serve as a universal token for all Zentry products, with more empowering features to be launched in the future.
