Cobo collaborates with MetaMask Institutional to launch an NFT custody solution.
Cobo and MetaMask Institutional Partner to Launch NaaS Service
Cobo, a leading digital asset custodian and blockchain technology provider in the Asia-Pacific region, has partnered with the well-known DeFi wallet MetaMask Institutional to jointly launch an NFT custody solution called Cobo NaaS (NFT-as-a-Service).
This collaboration aims to provide users and institutions with a unified platform to manage their NFT assets. By leveraging the network interface of MetaMask Institutional and its interoperability with numerous DeFi protocols and applications, Cobo NaaS will help users and institutions achieve flexible interactions across platforms while protecting their NFT assets.
Dr. Jiang Changhao, co-founder and CTO of Cobo, stated: "The NaaS platform allows users to securely store NFTs while maintaining the availability and flexibility of their assets. Institutions can easily manage NFTs through role-based access control, achieving a clear overview of assets and customizing the transaction limit rules for each wallet. Through this collaboration, users can easily integrate with MetaMask Institutional to interact within the Ethereum DeFi and Web3 ecosystem with one click."
Under this cooperation framework, users and institutions of Cobo NaaS will be able to access Web3 and DeFi services through the MetaMask Institutional wallet, while enjoying the custodial security provided by Cobo. Users can view detailed metrics of NFTs in different wallets and perform management operations such as purchasing, trading, selling, minting, listing, receiving airdrops, transferring assets, and staking NFTs on the interface. Currently, Cobo NaaS supports ERC 721 and ERC 1155 token standards, and will expand to support other standards in the future.
Johann Bornman, the product lead at Consensys, pointed out: "NFTs can essentially become a new medium for value creation, storage, and transfer. We have observed a growing interest in NFTs from institutions, which require more flexible and robust regulatory solutions compared to individual users. We are excited to collaborate with Cobo to provide comprehensive solutions for institutional clients through the premium access capabilities of MetaMask Institutional and Cobo's underlying institutional custody services."
In addition to providing NFT services, Cobo NaaS will also be included in the list of custodial providers for MetaMask Institutional, becoming the first institutional-level service to offer professional team collaboration tools, equipped with role-based access control and parameter-level risk management functions, supported by the technology of Cobo's custodial solutions.
Cobo, as a builder of blockchain and DeFi infrastructure, offers a variety of SaaS (Software as a Service) products, including WaaS (Wallet as a Service), NaaS (NFT as a Service), and Argus (smart contract-based digital asset custody). The company is headquartered in Singapore and has gained the trust of over 500 institutions and high-net-worth individuals, committed to promoting the growth and protection of their crypto assets and powering the global Web 3.0 revolution.
