Gate Charity, a non-profit philanthropic organization founded by Gate Group, launched a new charitable initiative to support orphans at the Angel Institute Child Protection Center in Vietnam. The initiative consists of an NFT fundraiser, the donation of essential items, and a visit to the children’s shelter.
Located in Ho Chi Ming City, Vietnam, the Angel Institute Child Protection Center, also known as “Angel’s Home”, houses over 100 orphaned children ranging from infants to the age of 8. The shelter was founded by Bui Cong Hiep, who funded and built the center on his own land and later donated a substantial part of his wealth to the shelter upon retirement. With the help of the shelter staff and donations, the children are able to receive care and love, ensuring they can live, learn, grow, and play in a safe environment.
To help support the children at the shelter, Gate Charity launched an NFT fundraiser, using the funds to provide direct monetary support and deliver food parcels for infants. In addition, Gate Charity team members visited the shelter to meet and interact with the children and staff, providing a day of fun for the children and gaining a clearer perspective of the shelter’s amazing role in supporting their growth.
Several other charitable initiatives in Vietnam have been organized by Gate Charity in the past, such as support for other children’s and elderly shelters. These initiatives are often funded through Gate Cahrity’s NFT-based model of fundraising that utilizes digital artwork on the blockchain to source funding for partnered non-profit organizations. According to Gate.io Research, Vietnam is the leading country for crypto in terms of ownership rates, making blockchain-based charitable fundraises well-suited for the country.
A core part of Gate Charity’s mission is uplifting vulnerable groups, such as children, the elderly, and indigenous communities, helping them achieve better lives through educational, environmental, and other welfare initiatives. Gate Charity remains committed to supporting the world’s most pressing causes. This includes the implementation of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and other forms of digital assets as vehicles for open fundraising and transparent fund tracking.
