A representative of a South Korean encryption company was stabbed in court due to "fraud suspicion" and was sentenced to 5 years in prison in the second trial.

According to ChainCatcher news and reports from the Korean News Agency, a man in his 50s was sentenced to 5 years in prison in the second trial for stabbing a representative of an encryption company with a knife in court. The representative of the encryption company was on trial for allegedly defrauding 1.4 trillion won in encryption assets. The attacker claims that he believes his actions are justified due to the economic losses caused by the victim. However, the court holds that even in a public trial, such private sanctions cannot be justified.
