A Gold Finance report states that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, is pressuring the Senate to make as few changes as possible to the large-scale spending and tax cut plan passed by the House last week, in order to advance President Donald Trump's agenda. He warned that if senators make substantial changes, the bill might be returned to a version that cannot be passed again in the House. Johnson said in an interview: "We have reached a very delicate balance here, a delicate equilibrium achieved after a long time, and it is best not to interfere too much."
