Hong Kong Treasury Secretary Christopher Hui visited Jakarta, Indonesia to discuss the development of virtual assets
Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Christopher Hui, concluded his four-day visit to Jakarta, Indonesia. During his visit, he met with Mahendra Siregar, Chairman of Indonesia's Financial Service Authority, and had in-depth discussions on the development of virtual assets and other new financial products. Hui also attended a lunch seminar organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta, the Hong Kong-Indonesia Chamber of Commerce, and Bank of China (02388), promoting Hong Kong's wealth management advantages and emphasizing its ideal destination for family and cross-border wealth management.
Hui Zhengyu introduced Hong Kong's "4T" advantages to Indonesian high-net-worth and family business clients, including its close ties with mainland and global capital markets (Ties); Simple and low-tax policy and environment (Tax); Great emphasis on Talents; and dedicated events and support services for home-based events, such as the "Yuzawa Xiangjiang" summit in March next year.
Hui Zhengyu also pointed out that Hong Kong is fully prepared to welcome the arrival of global family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals. InvestHK's dedicated FamilyOfficeHK team will continue to provide one-stop services, while Home Office Hong Kong will empower the industry in ecosystem building, knowledge sharing, technology support and philanthropic initiatives to help family offices prosper in Hong Kong.
