According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on August 8, The Miner Mag reported that the American Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark disclosed in its Q2 2025 financial report that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) accused the company of importing certain Bitcoin Mining Rigs from April to June 2024 that are of Chinese origin, requiring additional duties to be paid. If the CBP's accusations are upheld, CleanSpark expects to face duties of up to $185 million (excluding statutory Interest). CleanSpark stated that it will strongly contest the claims, asserting that its import documents and hardware suppliers can confirm that the equipment is not made in China.
