According to Techub News and Bloomberg, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is exploring how to allow certain registered futures exchanges to list leveraged digital assets such as Ether and Bitcoin spot contracts, provided these contracts meet the standards required by existing CFTC rules. This marks the first time a federal regulator has taken coordinated action to allow real-time Crypto Assets spot trading on registered platforms. The regulator is seeking public input on the matter of listing spot Crypto Assets contracts for trading on CFTC-registered futures exchanges before August 18.
