Solana DePIN ecosystem achieved record high revenue in April with multiple projects performing outstandingly.
Solana DePIN ecosystem performed well in April, with multiple projects achieving record high revenues.
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN track performed impressively in April, with a monthly total revenue of $458,000, a year-on-year increase of 33%, marking the highest level so far this year. This achievement is mainly attributed to the stable growth of several key projects.
Despite record-high revenues, the number of active contributors to DePIN protocols has seen a slight decline. Major projects collectively maintain around 87,000 active contributors. Notably, some smaller DePIN protocols have experienced significant growth in contributor numbers, such as Nosana with a growth rate exceeding 100%. Meanwhile, larger projects like Helium and Hivemapper have seen their contributor numbers remain stable or decline slightly.
The following is a review of the performance of major DePIN projects in April:
Dabba Network
Dabba Network is a DePIN project in the Solana ecosystem aimed at the Indian market, deploying Wi-Fi hotspots in collaboration with local cable operators. From March to April, its cumulative data consumption doubled to 8000 TB, device sales increased by 29%, and the network scale further expanded.
Helium Mobile
As a mobile virtual operator under the Helium network, Helium Mobile has seen a 125% surge in new subscription users to 36,000 after launching its open free mobile plan. Monthly revenue has reached a record $250,000, an increase of 34% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that the data offloading rate has reached 79%.
The average daily unsubscribe volume and uninstallation data volume increased by 65% and 32% respectively, both setting new historical records. However, the number of active contributors to Helium has slightly decreased since the beginning of the year and is currently stabilizing at around 75,000.
XNET
XNET is a decentralized mobile network based on Solana. The average daily uninstall rate in April increased by 16%, continuing an 8-month steady upward trend. Despite a 6% decrease in rewards, active contributors still grew by 6% to 732 people, setting a new historical high.
Roam
Roam added 535,000 WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users in April, bringing the total number of nodes close to 4 million and the user count to nearly 3 million. Although the monthly user check-in count decreased by 19%, the cumulative check-in times surpassed 300 million, indicating that user stickiness remains strong.
Shaga
The Shaga protocol utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, currently covering 74 GPU models. In two months, it achieved 4,500 interactive game live broadcasts, totaling 50,000 hours, allowing viewers to participate in the streamer's games in real-time.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, Hivello's online duration in April has doubled compared to March, with more nodes joining the network to contribute.
Nosana
Nosana is a decentralized GPU computing network based on Solana. In April, the workload and contributor rewards saw a slight increase, and the GPU nodes remained stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI collaboration project is expected to drive workload growth.
Sallar.io
Sallar provides distributed computing support by tapping into the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones. In April, the dollar rewards increased to $11,800, a month-on-month increase of 27%, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
Grass provides data sources for AI training and other purposes through the idle bandwidth of user devices. The data collection volume in April reached a new high of 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Wingbits is an aviation data collection network based on Solana. Since last November, the number of tracked flights has increased to 150,000, and the daily data points collected have risen to 9 billion, representing increases of 7% and 29%, respectively; the number of contribution sites has increased by 43% to 3,000.
Hivemapper
Hivemapper is a decentralized mapping network. The monthly mapping mileage for April remains stable, and the AI platform for fleet management, Beekeeper, has officially launched. Since February, the number of active map contributors has stabilized at around 5,000.
NATIX Network
NATIX Network collects street view data through devices such as smartphones. In April, user-driven mileage remained at 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month.
Sourceful Energy
Sourceful Energy is a decentralized virtual power plant project. In April, electricity output increased by 30%, and the newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 reservations, with growth momentum expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
AmbiosNetwork is the world's largest environmental monitoring DePIN. In April, the cumulative user ecological data sign-ins exceeded 2 million, a month-on-month increase of 12%; the total number of platform users increased to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
Overall, the Solana DePIN ecosystem performed impressively in April, with multiple projects reaching new highs in revenue and user data, demonstrating a strong development trend.
