Whale earns 8 million USD from Fartcoin, Solana memecoin rises 349%
A whale has made a profit of 8.07 million USD from the memecoin Fartcoin on Solana, after buying at 0.26 USD and selling at 1.22 USD — corresponding to an increase of 349%. This coin was launched through the pump.fun platform, which is experiencing a boom with over 6 million memecoins created as of January 2025.
Fartcoin currently has a market capitalization of 1.14 billion USD, surpassing many traditional brands — partly driven by the memecoin wave of 2025, thanks to Trump's crypto-friendly policies and a shift in stance from the SEC. However, the risk of a "rug pull" remains, as was the case with Hawk Tuah coin which once peaked at 490 million USD before collapsing.
