According to a report from Hash World Chain, only 14% of American adults own Crypto Assets, 60% of respondents have no interest in purchasing, and only 4% plan to buy in the near future. Among investors holding more than $10,000 in stocks, bonds, or funds, 55% believe the risk of Crypto Assets is very high. Even those who understand Crypto Assets often view it as a risky investment. Among all respondents, 64% consider the risk of Crypto Assets to be "extremely high," up from 60% in 2021. About one in seven Americans own Crypto Assets, while approximately 60% have stocks or real estate. Only 4% of adults believe Crypto Assets are the best long-term investment. While one-quarter of men aged 18 to 49 own Crypto Assets, the ownership rate among women and the elderly has declined. College graduates and high-income earners have higher participation rates than average, while the elderly and low-income households are largely absent. Although nearly all respondents have heard of Crypto Assets, only 35% say they truly understand how it works. Young men and wealthy individuals have the highest familiarity.
