Polkadot 2.0 welcomes a new era, 219 developers have completed the Solidity course, and 18 projects from the hackathon share 2000U.

The era of Polkadot 2.0 has arrived, with 219 developers completing the Solidity course.

Polkadot, with its modular and cross-chain interoperability design philosophy, lays the foundation for building the next generation of Web3 applications. With the full upgrade to Polkadot 2.0, Polkadot will soon fully support EVM-based smart contract development, opening the door to a multi-chain future for Solidity developers. Mastering the ability to build smart contracts using Solidity on Polkadot will be key for developers to gain a competitive edge.

The recently launched 【Blockchain Technology Development|Solidity Development on Polkadot】 17th session course is designed to seize this opportunity. The course covers the full spectrum of content from the basics of the Solidity language to smart contract security, balancing theory and practice, helping developers build secure and reliable applications on Polkadot.

This course will start on March 7, 2025, and end on June 19, lasting more than 3 months. It consists of seven class sessions and 15 online events, building a complete skill system from language fundamentals to security practical training. A total of 219 developers registered, and 78 students successfully graduated.

During the hackathon held as part of the course setup, 81 developers submitted 18 exciting projects, and ultimately 15 projects stood out to share a prize of 2000U.
