Kaia: Leveraging Two Major Social Giants to Build Asia's Largest Web3 Ecosystem

On August 29, 2024, the blockchain project Kaia, supported by the two social giants Kakao from South Korea and LINE from Japan, officially launched its mainnet. Kaia combines the advantages of the Klaytn and Finschia mainnets, aiming to build a giant blockchain ecosystem covering Asia and gradually lead the global Web3 market.

Kaia has a potential user base of over 250 million, which lays a solid foundation for the large-scale promotion of blockchain technology. Kaia adopts an optimized version of the Istanbul BFT consensus algorithm, capable of processing 4,000 transactions per second, with a block generation time of only 1 second. Its native token KAIA is used for paying transaction fees and participating in network governance.
