The U.S. claims that he evaded the "exit tax" when renouncing his U.S. citizenship and concealed substantial income from encryption assets, involving about $48 million in taxes. Ver has filed a lawsuit with the European Court and is publicly seeking support for himself. If convicted, Ver will spend his life in prison with his enormous encryption assets.
