Simply owning New Taiwan Dollars is a complete victory! In the first half of 2025, TWD's pump outperforms ETH by nearly 5%.

In the blink of an eye, the second half of 2025 has arrived, and the global financial market continues to experience constant fluctuations. However, the most unexpected performer has been the "New Taiwan Dollar". According to exchange rate and coin price statistics, the New Taiwan Dollar appreciated by more than 10% against the US Dollar in the first half of the year, with a growth rate even surpassing Ether (ETH)'s 6.6%, making it the dark horse in this wave of market turbulence.

The New Taiwan Dollar has strengthened significantly, with a six-month increase of up to 11%.

According to the Central Bank of Taiwan and historical exchange rate data, at the beginning of 2025, the exchange rate of New Taiwan Dollar to US Dollar was about 1 TWD = 0.0305 USD, which means that 1 US Dollar could be exchanged for about 32.88 New Taiwan Dollars. By the end of June, the New Taiwan Dollar appreciated to 1 TWD = 0.0338 USD, representing that 1 US Dollar could be exchanged for about 29.6 New Taiwan Dollars, an appreciation of about 10.8%, with some data sources even estimating it to be as high as 11.53%.

According to data from the Bank of Taiwan, the exchange rate of the New Taiwan Dollar to the US Dollar has fluctuated from 32.881 at the beginning of the year to a cash exchange rate of 29.41 in June.

The recent appreciation is mainly attributed to multiple factors such as strong export momentum, central bank intervention, and the return of overseas capital, coupled with a recovery in market confidence in Taiwan's economic fundamentals, which has boosted the demand for the New Taiwan Dollar.

ETH performance is below expectations, and the trend remains stable.

In contrast, the performance of Ether (ETH), as a popular crypto asset, was relatively subdued in the first half of 2025. The price at the beginning of the year was about $2,290, and it slightly rose to $2,440 by the end of June, with an increase of only about 6.6%. Although ETH briefly fell to around $1,800 during the year, the increase from the low point to now is nearly 35%. However, considering the beginning of the year as a baseline, the overall upward trend still appears conservative, with no significant breakthroughs.

From this data, although ETH belongs to high-risk, high-reward assets, in the first half of this year, it was the New Taiwan Dollar that took the lead.

ETH potential still exists, while TWD may face fluctuations.

Although ETH has performed reasonably this year, the market is still full of expectations for the second half of the year. With more applications being implemented and funds entering the market, many institutions predict that ETH will challenge the 3,000 USD barrier. Many investors also choose to hold coins and wait, or gradually enter the market.

In contrast, experts believe that the appreciation space for the New Taiwan Dollar may be nearly exhausted, and it could face significant fluctuations in the second half of the year, even posing a risk of depreciation. They remind the public to pay attention to the Exchange Rate fluctuations.

This article simply states that owning New Taiwan Dollar will be a complete victory! In the first half of 2025, TWD's pump outperformed ETH by nearly 5%, first appearing in Chain News ABMedia.
