On Friday, June 20, China's major stock indices opened with mixed performance. The Shanghai Composite Index edged down 3.2 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 3,358.91, while the Shenzhen Component Index also edged lower, falling 12.96 points, or 0.13 percent, to close at 10,039 points. The CSI 300 index also showed a downward trend, opening down 3.31 points, or 0.09%, at 3,839.78 points. In contrast, the ChiNext index was relatively stable, opening slightly higher by 0.06 points, almost unchanged at 2,026.88, while the STAR 50 index showed upward momentum, opening up 0.84 points, or 0.09%, at 963.78. Today, the A-share market as a whole started in a volatile pattern, with the main board index recovering slightly, while the technology sector was relatively firm.
