DeFi protocols increased by 2.3 billion USD in TVL, driving tokens to breakout.
In the past 24 hours, decentralized lending protocols (DeFi) have witnessed a significant rise to the sky, with a total value locked (TVL) increasing by 2.3 billion USD, the value of active loans rising by about 700 million USD, and the value of tokens related to lending increasing by an average of 7.7%.
Data from DefiLlama shows that the total TVL of lending protocols has risen to the sky from 40.36 billion USD to 42.69 billion USD amid a buoyant market, corresponding to an increase of about 6% in just one day.
At the same time, according to Token Terminal, the value of active loans also rose to the sky from 16.4 billion USD to 17.1 billion USD during the period from April 21 to April 22.
Aave is the protocol that recorded the highest increase in new loans, with active debt value rising by an additional 562 million USD, surpassing the 11 billion USD mark. However, Aave's revenue has sharply declined, from 418,000 USD to only 67,430 USD at the time of recording.
In the top 10 lending protocols, Euler ranks second with nearly 30 million USD in new borrowing value over the past 24 hours. Fluid and Compound also recorded double-digit increases, at 14 million USD and 13 million USD, respectively.
Tokens related to lending have all risen in price
The impressive performance of on-chain metrics quickly reflects in token prices. According to CoinGecko, tokens in the lending sector recorded an average increase of 7.7% over the past 24 hours – ranking 5th among 22 tracked token groups.
Data from Artemis also shows that the average daily performance of this token group far exceeds the average increase of 5.4% of the entire market.
Among the tokens with a market capitalization of over 100 million USD, SYRUP from Maple Finance leads with a rise to the sky of 15.2% – double the average of the lending group. Euler (EUL) increased by 11.6%, AAVE rose to the sky by 8.2%, and MORPHO increased by 7.2%.
