Zerebro’s Jeffy Yu Reappears Days After Alleged On-Camera Death
Jeffy Yu, the 22-year-old developer behind Zerebro who appeared to take his own life during a livestream on May 4, has been confirmed alive by a local San Francisco reporter.
Spotted Outside His Parents’ Home
On May 8, George Kelly of the San Francisco Standard claimed he briefly spoke with Yu outside his family’s two-story residence. When asked about the suicide hoax and whether he profited from it, Yu declined to comment. Instead, he reportedly said, “You can see the PTSD in my eyes, right?” before asking the reporter to leave the premises.
Yu was described as wearing a T-shirt, shorts, flip-flops, and wire-rimmed glasses—similar to what he wore during the shocking livestream. However, no photos from this encounter were released by the news outlet.
Mounting Evidence Suggested It Was a Hoax
Initially, the livestream led many to believe that Yu had actually taken his own life. But within two days, skepticism spread online. Several clues pointed toward a staged event:
