Palestinian official: Gaza ceasefire negotiations 90% complete

Jinshi data, December 22nd, a senior Palestinian official involved in the negotiations said that the negotiations between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip on ceasefire and the exchange of detainees have been completed by 90%, but there are still some key issues that need to be resolved. The official said that one of the main sticking points is the issue of Israeli troops in the 'Philadelphia Corridor' on the border between Gaza and Egypt. In addition, the parties are also discussing the establishment of a several-kilometer-wide buffer zone in the border area between Israel and Gaza, where Israel will maintain its troops. The official said that if these unresolved issues can be resolved, the parties will reach a ceasefire protocol to be implemented in three stages within a few days.
