Positioned as BVS (Bitcoin Validated Services

Satlayer, positioned as the middleware layer of BVS (Bitcoin Validated Services), is the final piece of the puzzle in the BTCReStakingprotocol Babylon ecosystem.

Only Rome, not Greece, the West is incomplete. Only LST, without AVS ReStaking ecology is also incomplete.

In terms of the BTCResaking ecosystem, Babylon abstracts the economic security of BTC using EOTs (Extractable One-Time Signature) and BTCTimestamp as technical primitives. The BTC ecosystem LSTprotocol is responsible for unlocking stakes to BabylonMainnet's BTC/LSTprotocol Wrap version for Liquidity and composability. Satlayer is responsible for providing economic security and Liquidity in a one-stop manner (including ProgrammabilitySlash conditions and BVS development SDK) for App Chain/dApp usage.

From a technical perspective, SatLayer is a set of core Smart Contracts deployed on BabylonMainnet, written in CosmWasm, mainly composed of Delegate Manager and custom Slash management two functional modules.

This allows: 1. BTC/LST protocol Wrap version of BTC holders to delegate their assets to Node operators (LST protocol project party and professional PoS Node operators) through Satlayer and stake to get stake rewards on the App Chain/dApp mainnet operating Node that uses BVS services. 2. App Chain/dApp using BVS can flexibly customize Slash conditions. For example, App Chain/dApp can customize whether Slash assets belong to protocol income or are sent to Burn Address for destruction, and can customize the Slash ratio to ensure its affordability and effectiveness.

So, for ease of understanding, we can think of SatLayer as the satellite layer of Babylon, which is responsible for connecting ReStakers, node operators, and BVS App Chain/dApp in the ReStaking ecosystem.

Interestingly, after watching the PR video tweeted by Satlayer to celebrate their collaboration with Babylon, I realized that both Babylon and Satlayer are from the Cosmos ecosystem, as the video deconstructs and challenges the famous encryption planet comic released by Paradigm last year.

In this cycle, the BTC ecosystem with the strongest security and the largest scale of accumulated assets, and the COSMOS alliance with the strongest AppChain development SDK and the most open developer ecosystem, will launch the strongest challenge to the Ethereum ecosystem in the encryption planet central kingdom ETH.
