British intelligence agency: After the chaos, Russian troops have deployed more forces in the Kursk region.

On August 16, Jinshi Data reported that the UK's Defense Intelligence Agency commented on social media that the Ukrainian army has penetrated into the border area of Russia, "deepening between 10-25 kilometers, with a length of about 40 kilometers." The report pointed out that Russia's defensive lines and border troops were "not prepared" for the attack that occurred last week. "After the initial chaos and disorganization, the Russian army has deployed larger forces to the area, including possibly deploying from other places along the contact line," the UK Defense Intelligence Agency stated. "They have also begun to establish additional defensive positions to block Ukraine's advance," the report said.
