Caterpillar expects tariff costs to exceed $1 billion by the end of 2025.

Jin10 reported on August 5 that Caterpillar expects its tariff spending for 2025 to be between $1.3 billion and $1.5 billion, with third-quarter tariff costs projected to reach $400 million to $500 million. The company's operating income in the second quarter decreased by 18% compared to the same period last year, primarily due to increased manufacturing costs resulting from tariffs.
