TRON Mainnet TRX reduction proposal was passed with a high vote: block rewards reduced by 50%, voting rewards reduced by 20%.
Odaily News On June 13, TRON announced that the Mainnet proposal No. 102 regarding TRX reduction had successfully completed voting at 14:00 Singapore time on the same day, passing with 25 votes in favor (out of a total of 27 votes). This reflects the community's strong support for accelerating deflation and optimizing economic model strategies, and it also means that TRX reduction has entered the formal implementation stage. The implementation of this proposal will reduce the block reward from the original 16 TRX to 8 TRX (a decrease of 50%), and the voting reward from the original 160 TRX to 128 TRX (a decrease of 20%). It is also expected to increase TRX's annualized deflation rate from 0.85% to 1.29%. This reduction in production aims to accelerate the deflation process of TRX and optimize the economic model of TRON, thereby ensuring the long-term sustainable development of the network.
