The German government sold nearly 50,000 Bitcoins last year, missing out on a profit of $2.46 billion.
According to data from Lookonchain, an on-chain data analysis platform, the German government sold 49,858 bitcoins between June 19 and July 12, 2024, with an average selling price of $57,600, for a total of $2.87 billion. At the current price of bitcoin, the current value of this batch of bitcoin is $5.33 billion, a difference of $2.46 billion from the actual sale price.
