The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the rebel groups have initiated a new round of dialogue.

Jin10 data reported on May 6th that a new round of dialogue between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" began on the 4th in Doha, the capital of Qatar. According to reports from Okapi Radio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, sources indicate that the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the delegation from the "M23 Movement" arrived in Doha over the weekend. The current dialogue is still in its preliminary stages. U.S. Senior Advisor for African Affairs Blas announced on social media on the 5th that the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda submitted a draft peace agreement.
