Jinshi data news on November 23, regarding the statement from the Russian side that the 'Hazel' medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile cannot be intercepted, the American cable news network quoted Fabian Hoffman, a missile technology and nuclear strategy researcher at the University of Oslo, as saying that anti-missile systems made in the United States and Israel can intercept it. Hoffman said that anti-missile systems such as the Standard Missile-3 from Aegis or ground-based Aegis, as well as the 'Arrow-3' missile defense system and the 'THAAD' anti-missile system, can respond to it. Hoffman stated that because the 'Hazel' missile can launch multiple warheads simultaneously, it requires a large number of interceptors to shoot it down, which is very expensive.
